New Years Eve OOTD (outfit of the day!)

While everyone is getting ready to go out for New Years Eve, getting all dolled up, me and Ariel are getting bundled up to go to the store. It's about 37* outside and we don't have a car so we gotta pack on the layers for our brisk walk.

From head to toe my ootd:
My earrings are from my girl Jamaica Jacobson who made them and you can get your own at www.jamaicajacobson.com
Sweater shirt is from Old Navy, tank under is from H&M and my jeans are from Motherhood Maternity from when I was pregnany.
The bracelet is a Christmas gift from my aunt Cristyn which I love, so I don't know what store it's from. Sorry.

My socks are from Hot Topic many years ago and my boots are from downtown LA. So again no store name but they are a few years old so might not be there anyways. Abnd I case you cared my phone case is from TJ Maxx the Nicole miller collection I think. I love it, it's colorful and goes perfect with my rhinestone I have for my button on the front.
Alright let's check out what Ariel had on today.
So we actually got this little outfit as a gift from one of Kens friends and the brand is Vitamins. Why that's the name of a baby clothing line, I have no idea. Lol I just think it's so cute because owls are just so cute and this especially. You can see in this picture but she's got little ruffles on the but part. I also like this one because it doesn't have feet, so it's not like a onsie which allows her to still where it even though she's not newborn anymore. She barely fits it, she's so long lol.
Look at that personality! Had to show off the matching hat that barely fits her head because that's growing too. Haha
Oh and she has a layer underneath to stay extra warm which is a short sleeve onsie and some pants that are high waters on her now.
Now because it's so cold out we can't forget the sweater. This sweater was a gift from her grandma, my mom and it's from old navy. This is a size 3-6month and she almost fits it every where except in the body. She's a pretty skinny girl so doesn't fill out most of her clothes, but because she's so long already she's out growing the next sizes before she can even wear them.
So as we get ready for the store to exchange clothes and cash checks, we pray you all have a safe and wonderful New Years Eve night bringing in the New Year. There are so many things happening this new year coming and can't wait to share them with you all.

Jumbo Eye Pencils - E.L.F. Vs. NYX

These two companies are both very inexpensive and have a great reputation, so let's compare a popular product. NYX's Jumbo Eye pencil is one of the most popular in its category,

especially "Milk" which is used as an eyelid primer by most.
I have to admit, this is pretty amazing pencil to use a a primer. The fact that it's white makes the colors you use pop that much more and last all day without creasing. The one thing I had an issue with this is before you apply your eyeshadow, sometimes it would crease which meant you had to blend it out a little bit more before applying your shadow. Ultimately this is a great eye lid primer and also is great to use on the waterline for the "wide-awake" look. I love that trick.

Moving on to E.L.F.'s jumbo eyeshadow sticks.
Like NYX's eyeliner pencil, they are creamy, the packaging is almost identical and the quality is pretty comparable. E.L.F. doesn't have as many color options as NYX but ultimately it's about quality of the product not quantity. I did find that NYXs pencil is a lot more creamier in texture as E.L.F.s stick was creamy but not as smooth of a texture. The application was definitely smoother with NYX, but feel they both do the same job and equally as well. So in conclusion if your looking for and eyeshadow stick or jumbo eye pencil, you won't go wrong with either company. Although, you will find that E.L.F. is a couple $'s cheaper then NYX so that can determine which one you choose as well. They can both be found online and in both grocery stores or any cosmetic store. NYX is also now available in most Target stores which is nice seeing you can buy almost anything there, so why not makeup right? Well I hope I made your decision that much easier and hope you try one of these, as they can make eyeshadow application easier and look better too. Battle of the Wands! Benefits- They're Real vs. Covergirls- LashBlastFusion

So as most of you know if your subscribed to my youtube channel, I have been loving They're real mascara by Benefit all year until I decided to give some of my other mascaras a chance. Now I got the Cover Girl Lash Blast Fusion earlier this year but haven't given it a try. Since my They're real mascara was pretty much empty, I decided to give Cover Girl a shot.

Let's look at the packaging and wands of thee two competitors:
As you can see the LashBlastFusion is  pretty large package. I do like the fact that the handle has that angle at the top for your finger almost as a support system. Now if you look at the wand, this is a plastic bristle wand with a flat tip. The bristles do become a bit smaller toward the tip for easier application in the corners of your eyes but because the wand itself is still thick, it makes for an easier mess if you have really short lashes. These bristles are more on the flexible side which is nice for multiple application and does hold a lot of product. Let move on to our next contender.

The love of my eyelashes. Lol just kidding. I do love everything about this mascara. Let's talk about the wand, how narrow and "hair-like" it is. So if you notice the bristles are plastic just like the LashBlastFusion but they are a little bit stiffer which does make for great application for those who have a lot of lashes and need to get to the root of your lash. Another nice thing about this wand is how genuinely they created it to have long and short bristles. It's almost as if it's doing two applications in one trike because of that shorter bristle. This too hold product very well. Now if you see the tip of the bristle is rounded, they created this so you can get closer to the root and build volume and also easier application for those shorter lashes in the corner of your eyes. We don't need to speak on how nice and classy the packaging looks, we can all see. Hahaha

So out of these 2 products which do I recommend? Well until I find something better I'm going to say They're Real but have to say for a drugstore mascara LashBlastFusion held its ground. I believe if you need something to hold you over until you can afford or just have the time to buy the Benefit mascara, go for the Cover Girl. Like I always say, you'll never know you like something for yourself until you give it a try. Whether it's trying that hot pink or orange lipstick to that dark blue smokey eye, if you don't try it you won't know what looks best on you. I say be adventurous, be yourself, try something new and be confident in whatever it is your doing. Make sure you check out my youtube channel and all my social media too. Have a "wand"erful day! ;)

Benefit - How to Look the Best at Everything Palette

So I bought this palette because I wasn't ready to commit to the full size "Porefessional" primer that Benefit makes.

So when I went into Sephora I noticed this palette which had a combination of mini products that Benefit makes for a full face coverage. I was very excited because I was able to try out this company and multiple items without committing myself to spend over $100. Now let me share with you what this palette included and what my favorite items are in the box.
So as you see #1 is the Porefessional. This is a face primer that is suppose to fill in pores, even out skin coloring and pretty much make a fresh, smooth palette out of your face to create your look. You can use this before foundation or alone for a natural look.
Now using this in comparison to others I will say this does live up to its name and on top of that is has such a wonderfully pretty smell. Now if smells bother you, I wouldn't recommend it but if that's not an issue then I recommend this primer. It does have a tint of skin tone when it comes out but applies clear and is so silky smooth when applied. Thumbs up from me.

#2 is they're foundation Hello Flawless in the color "I'm so money" Honey. I did like this and if you haven't seen my comparison of this to my drugstore foundation be sure to check it out here: http://youtu.be/iaBOnK7ig7c
I liked this but I am almost more fond of my Loreal Paris foundation which is a bit less expensive and does the same job. If you are more into higher end products this is one I would suggest this as a middle level foundation.

#3 is concealer which you get two colors to choose from or mix to create the best color for you. It's called Boi-ing to help make you look as if it bounced back your skin. That's what concealers for right? I do have to say this is a pretty good concealer for a non-theatrical concealer. I use the 02 for my brows and under eyes and the 03 for blemishes or other marks on my face.

#4 is powder to set everything in the color "I'm cute as a bunny" Honey. Now I haven't used pressed powders before so I can't compare this to anything. My one thing I did notice is that if I rub against someone's clothes or my baby's headband, it will come right off. I don't know if this is normal or if I'm using too much but it's not something I would think should happen. Now maybe if I used a setting spray it'll help but that's my only down fall with it. I got the medium palette and it's perfect for my skin tone.

Now if you aren't this light but aren't as dark as the dark then that may be a problem for you seeing there's only 3 color options; light, medium and dark. Overall I definitely recommend buying this if your interested in trying a new product from Benefit or any cosmetic line but don't want to spend all the money yet. These palettes are available from a lot of different higher end companies nowadays for the specific reason of not wanting returns for something someone may not end up liking. If your interested in this or any of these individual products check out my website to get all the details on it and purchase it for yourself. (Website will be up soon) Until then go to the direct website www.benefitcosmetics.com
